I just found these pictures...had to share!
I just came across our snorkeling pictures from Hawaii. We rented an underwater camera in hopes of seeing some cool creatures...basically my parents were the funniest! Anyway, just had to share!
This is a very attractive picture of me, but it shows that the water was SO COLD! If it wasn't for all the people that had to get off the boat I would have probably sat there for at least 10 minutes.

My life in Cali
My life in Cali consists of many things...here are a few off the top of my head.
-Walking the doodles, morning, afternoon, night and picking up poo. Yes, people I said poo. Something about it never gets easier ya know? Especially when they are pooing by the road and cars are going by watching, it's just embarrassing. Or when Harley has to walk in circles to find just the right spot, this may or may not take 10 minutes. But, I do love them dearly...poo or no poo.
Cali and Harley, My little muppets!
-Quality time with the hubby! We love riding the Harley and are trying to ride more. Our friends Jessica and Todd have a Harley too, so we have gone on a couple rides this past month. The riding out here is beautiful in the mountains and by the ocean.

Cali and Harley, My little muppets!-Watching babies, 2 ADORABLE babies. I still nanny 2 days a week, yep they are still trusting me with their children even though they are walking and talking now! I guess the 10 years of experience does help a little. Jude is starting to walk, but only when you literally yell "Get Up Jude!" otherwise, crawling works. Ella is repeating everything now, she is also learning to be very polite. For example, the other day she was sitting on my lap and farted, like 3 times, I giggled and said "Oh Ella" and she giggled back and said, "muse me" that means "excuse me" for those of you who don't speak baby. Ahh so fun!
Holla!! Ella waving "hi" sporting her piggie tales...yep, these two are in my hands and they love me!
-Book Club! Shout out to all you ladies who are in book club. Yes, many of you may laugh at the thought, but I tell ya it's awesome! Our husbands have said that it is sad that our book club is the most exciting thing happening in our lives...but they have no idea how much fun it is! We just read "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" good one, read it...along with some champagne of course!

It always starts off so innocent...
Oh girls, let's get it together will ya?!

And you never know where the night will end...Yes, these are my dear friends.
This is a video of us at the Dog Beach
Oh girls, let's get it together will ya?!
And you never know where the night will end...Yes, these are my dear friends.-The always popular "night out with friends" and random "SURPRISE birthday parties" I'm pretty sure 9 out of 10 of my friends have had a surprise b-day party this year including Joe. I was talking to Joe about this and wondering what we will all do next year. Hmmm, dunno but I like it!!
This is our most recent surprise party for Ashleigh's 32nd this past week!! Whoohoo! Archie pulled off a swift one, way to go Archie! This was at the very popular Rooftop Bar in Laguna Beach. If you watch the OC Housewives you know what I'm talking about. This is a "must" when visiting Southern California. Best sunset view which goes great with a glass of champagne...just sayin.
-DOG BEACH! One of my favorite days in a long time included taking the dogs to the Huntington Beach, Dog Beach. The dogs love it, Harley almost drowns every time! While I'm up to my knees in the water ready to swim, Joe is usually pretending like he's not watching so I'm the one who will have to save him. This is ALWAYS followed by the Doggie Spa where we wash them and try to get all the sand out of their hair, TRY! We then went to The Lazy Dog Cafe, it's not really a cafe but a really good restaurant where you can take your dogs. They loved it because they get "free pets" and they get to eat my leftovers! BONUS!!
-Quality time with the hubby! We love riding the Harley and are trying to ride more. Our friends Jessica and Todd have a Harley too, so we have gone on a couple rides this past month. The riding out here is beautiful in the mountains and by the ocean.
2 babies I can't wait to meet!!!
I can't wait to get my hands on two little boys at the end of July!! Come on momma's, hand them over!
As I previously posted, Kyle Matthew Gurtzweiler was born February 11th, he was born several weeks early but he is making up for lost time in the eating department!! Whoohoo! Kyle is growing fast and will probably be wearing his daddies size 14 shoes before we know it! Brittany is back to work at the daycare, so Kyle is attending and I'm sure making new friends already! Kaitlyn is a great big sister too...here is a picture of them taken in March!
Kaitlyn's wild hair matches her crazy little personality!! So cute!

Kaitlyn's wild hair matches her crazy little personality!! So cute!Chase Robert Jankord was born on April 7th to Rob and Rachel! Rachel had a very touch and go pregnancy, but in the end everything worked out perfect! Little Chase is also growing and changing so fast, as you can see by his picture he is one happy baby! Big sister Jaiden loves her new little brother and I hear she is quite a big helper! I just can't wait to squeeze those cheeks!

Ramblings from me...
When I started this blog I thought it was such a good idea, and it is when you keep up with it! I've actually had people ask me why I haven't updated it in FOREVER...and I thought nobody cared! So, much has taken place in the past 3 months, yet I sit here and can't think of what all to say, figures! I guess I'll start with our 1 year anniversary!
What an amazing week! We decided (like 3 weeks before we left) to spend the week in Maui! I had never been to Hawaii and I had ALWAYS wanted to go since I was little. It was the only place I had dreamed of going, so needless to say I was REALLY excited. We decided to ask my parents and see if they wanted to go, it was also somewhere they had never been. Joe took the liberty of researching a private estate to stay for the week, found flights for my parents and figured out all the details for their trip...this made it much easier for them to say yes :) This made the trip even more exciting, it was our anniversary, my 32nd birthday AND I got to spend a week with my parents, it was great! Our estate was beautiful in Maui. We had an amazing view right on the water, an outdoor kitchen, our own private bungalows, pool and spa...if it wasn't for the rain it would have been perfect!! We seemed to pick a week where it rained more than it had EVER rained before! We made sure to see and do as much as we could while we were there. We flew to Honolulu and visited Pearl Harbor, toured the USS Missouri and spent a few hours in Waikiki Beach, we experienced a traditional LuAu, we went snorkeling with the turtles and whale watching, went hiking to see waterfalls, drank Mai Tai's at Mama's Fish House, did an AMAZING helicopter ride of Maui, shopping in Lahina and relaxed with mimosa's at the pool. It doesn't get much better! Although, let me share a little story with you in case you are ever in Maui and this happens to you...
So, I didn't know that gecko's were EVERYWHERE in Hawaii. Joe and I for the first 2 days in our bungalow thought we had birds living outside our windows because the "birdlike noises" were constant, yet we never saw the birds. Just so you understand how quaint this place was, the bungalows didn't have cable so we either watched movies, read or played on our blackberries :) This night in particular I was sleeping, the lights were on because Joe was on his phone, I woke to a thump on my chest and Joe screaming, "A lizard fell on you from the ceiling!!!!" Yep, just my luck, a creepy lizard landed right on my chest! Joe says he's never seen me move so fast in my life as I did that night. I somehow slipped out the top of the blankets, behind Joe's head and onto the floor before I took a breath. We realized that those were not birds, but the family of geckos we were hearing. Pretty much the rest of the week was spent laying in bed staring at the ceiling watching them scurry down the walls. The owner told us that these geckos are a symbol of good luck and every time you hear them make that noise whatever was said at that moment was the "truth" This made for an interesting week...

Here is a picture of my little friend, he is hanging out on my side of the bed...lucky ME!

Here are some of our pictures that highlight our trip for those of you who haven't seen any of them.
The bungalow, my parent's bungalow was matching and we had a bungalow between us that was the "movie room"
Our pool and spa. Quick funny story...when my mom was in the spa by herself, Joe yelled at her and said a monkey was behind her swinging from the trees! She jumped out of the spa and frantically looked for the monkey...Joe would randomly yell. "it's over there" and mom would get all excited and run around to see it. This went on for quite some time and it got pretty sad, I finally told her we didn't see a monkey...she was so bummed :(
I told them to walk down the path so I could take their picture, they acted like fools and then ran away...can't take them anywhere!
Joe and dad loved all the gadgets...especially Joe. Mom was amazing at how fast Joe can push all the buttons and turn all the knobs!!
The Arizona, it was closed when we went there...of course. But, we got a pretty good look at it anyway!
Helicopter ride around the islands! I was so excited, very nervous too that I would throw up! I got the best seat in the house, it was my anniversary present from Joe...however I think it was more for him!
We saw tons and tons of beautiful waterfalls! Also, flew through the jungle area where Jarasic Park was filmed.
LuAu! If you are a taken woman you wear your flower in you left ear, if you are available you wear it in the right...in case you ever need to know!About Me

- I am a proud Ohio girl who for the past 4 1/2 years has lived in Irvine, California with my husband and 2 goldendoodles. We recently made a move to the East Coast to Savannah, GA. We are in the process of making this feel like "home" All three of them are the loves of my life! Joe and I started our photography business right after we got married in April and have been loving it! We enjoy meeting new people, hearing their stories and going through their journey with them. Joe and I are excited for a bright future ahead and are enjoying every second of life! We miss our family and friends dearly and hope that by sharing our blog with them makes the distance between us seem a little less vast.
