I guess the last big adventure we had was attending the WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) convention in Las Vegas. This was one of the most amazing and eye opening experiences we have possibly ever had. We realized when we booked the conference several months back that every photographer who is SOMEONE in the industry is in attendance. We met so many inspiring, well known and amazing photographers from all over the world. We started our days with 8am classes and ended with 11pm classes for the entire 6 days! Exhausting, yes...but exhilarating, absolutely! We basically came away from the experience knowing what kind of photographers we wanted to be, goals to set for ourselves and most of all having even more passion for what we do.
One of the most inspiring seminars that Joe and I sat in on was about an organization called "Thirst Relief" I wont go into all the details and bore you to death, but it really turned a light bulb on in my head on how I can reach out and help by using my photography talent. This organization had some of the top photographers in the world help bring awareness to worldwide water crisis by photographing people in need. As an educator I have always had a passion for helping children and I have FINALLY realized this is something I must do NOW and not LATER. I have been making connections with one of Joe's co-workers who has opened a school in Mumbai, India for orphaned children. The school is called "Sunshine Kids International" It is an amazing school with an inspiring story and I am hoping to go on a mission trip at the beginning of the year! So, besides all of this, business is good, life is good and our 1 year wedding anniversary is right around the corner!!!! AMAZING YEAR for us Jankord's! :)

The best part was hundreds of vendors were there and it was so great to actually see and feel their work...it is always important to have confidence in what you are offering to your clients!

We did make it out one night to "The Bank" at the Bellagio
I always take pictures of our room, we stayed at the MGM Signature Towers...it was awesome! We even talked about buying one because we are here so often!
