Our Cross Country Voyage...

2,618 miles and about 42 driving hours later, we made it from California to our new home in Savannah, Georgia. It was a long trip, but we tried to make the most of it! The dogs were troopers, we couldn't have asked for better travel companions. Below are some of the pictures we took on our way...America is a beautiful place!

Here is our trip detail:

Moorpark, CA
Tucson, AZ-(stop #1)
New Mexico
San Antonio, TX (stop #2)
Houston, TX
Lake Charles, LA (stop #3)
New Orleans, LA (stop #4)
Mississippi
Alabama
Florida
Savannah, GA (home)

Our last picture in California...this is at the doodles favorite place, grandma and grandpa Losey's house, Moorpark, CA

Typical position, Harley likes to see where we are going at all times, I don't think he slept at all.
Wind Turbines...I am always in awe of them, these are in the Palm Springs area.

The hardest part of going through Arizona and Texas was the lack of grass. The dogs had a difficult time finding a spot to pee...annoying!
Downtown Phoenix I believe
 It was VERY windy!

This is the Mexican boarder...crazy to believe it is so close.
Had to make a pit stop here for some Harley gear!
Boarder patrol, Joe was obsessed! They were EVERYWHERE!

 San Antonio, TX!

The River Walk in San Antonio, so cute!

Had to take this picture, it is ONE of the wind turbine wings...crazy to see how big it was!!
Houston, TX! We stopped to visit with Gordy and Frances and the doodles got to RUN!
It was Cinco De Mayo...Frances was enjoying a little community party when we arrived!

 Swamp, obviously :)

 New Orleans

 The dreaded Hurricanes...

 Enjoying the local eats!

Joe wishing he had some beads...poor guy :(

 Creepy

 Interesting

Enjoying the nightlife and some live music.

Beautiful sunset...a nice way to Welcome us home.

About Me

My photo
Savannah, Georgia, United States
I am a proud Ohio girl who for the past 4 1/2 years has lived in Irvine, California with my husband and 2 goldendoodles. We recently made a move to the East Coast to Savannah, GA. We are in the process of making this feel like "home" All three of them are the loves of my life! Joe and I started our photography business right after we got married in April and have been loving it! We enjoy meeting new people, hearing their stories and going through their journey with them. Joe and I are excited for a bright future ahead and are enjoying every second of life! We miss our family and friends dearly and hope that by sharing our blog with them makes the distance between us seem a little less vast.
