The Homestead

I haven't shared any new photos of our house lately, so thought I would take a few pics and share with those of you who are asking!

While Joe has been busily working, I have been keeping myself busy trying to make our little home a little more "homey" I have painted almost the entire house, excluding only the guest bedrooms and bath and the bonus room. It's been a lot of fun for me to create a space for us that we love. Savannah is slowly growing on us, it's amazing how difficult it is to make friends or even meet people for that matter though. Joe has been working and traveling a lot, so I find myself desperately looking for things to keep myself busy. I'm hoping to find a job soon before I go completely insane!

I have to say that our house has been so entertaining with all the "wilderness" around us! Throughout the day and every evening we have a large family of deer that come to our backyard. The dogs at first used to bark and scare them away, now they have become used to seeing them and just enjoy watching. We also have our large amount of squirrels that keep us entertained and we have put a couple bird feeders in the backyard that is attracting all different kinds of birds. Joe and I love sitting outside watching it all...it really is nature at it's best. The weather here has been amazing! Our fall consists of high 70's to the mid 80's with little humidity...this is why people live here!

Hope everyone is doing well! Love and miss you all! XOXO

Master Bedroom. I decided to paint it green and I found this awesome website that made custom wall art...I saw this one and loved it.
Sitting area in the Master. We want to eventually get a chase lounge for the space, for now this works though.
 Entry to our bedroom
Sitting area in our office. Our old couch works perfectly here.

Kitchen-this table is fantastic, has 8 chairs so we were able to but 2 at the counter.
This wall looks a little more orange than it really is here...it gives the house a little pop of color though!

One of my favorite pieces in the house, we bought this at an antique store downtown Savannah. Fills the cut-out in our living room perfectly!
 Dining Room
Chandelier in the dining room. We love this so much, it sparkles when the lights hit the crystals!
Our master bath, I painted it a light gray, it's really pretty.
New furniture, finally! This isn't really as gold as it looks, but it is huge and sooo comfortable!
Main 1/2 bath...thought this was cute

Mantel, of course I have picks of the doodles up :)
 Some of our flowers outside...

 Lizards and frogs EVERYWHERE!
Some of our landscaping. We planted our first trees, little palms! That is also a hummingbird feeder in the flowers.

We get cardinals now! ...I sound like an old lady don't I?!?

About Me

My photo
Savannah, Georgia, United States
I am a proud Ohio girl who for the past 4 1/2 years has lived in Irvine, California with my husband and 2 goldendoodles. We recently made a move to the East Coast to Savannah, GA. We are in the process of making this feel like "home" All three of them are the loves of my life! Joe and I started our photography business right after we got married in April and have been loving it! We enjoy meeting new people, hearing their stories and going through their journey with them. Joe and I are excited for a bright future ahead and are enjoying every second of life! We miss our family and friends dearly and hope that by sharing our blog with them makes the distance between us seem a little less vast.
