Kyle Matthew Gurtzweiler

Kyle Matthew Gurtzweiler was born to Matthew and Brittany on February 11th. Kyle was born almost 7 weeks early weighing 5lbs 1oz and 18 1/2 inches long. He is 2 weeks old today and is still in the hospital. His parents are anxiously awaiting to bring the little guy home to meet his big sister, Kaitlyn! He requires a feeding tube to eat and until he is able to take all of his feedings by bottle he will need to remain in the NICU. His doctors say he is progressing great and it shouldn't be too much longer! As of today he weighed 5lbs 2oz, which is great news! I may be bias, but he is one beautiful baby!

We were asked to be God Parents to Kyle and I am so excited and honored that Matt and Brittany would think of us! So, we will be visiting for sure in July for the baptism....but I'm hoping to come out SOONER!

Joe was just back home in Cleveland for work and drove to Perrysburg in the hopes to visit Kyle, but the hospital has strict rules that only parents and grandparents are able to visit. He was so bummed, so we both may be flying back before July!! Just can't wait to meet him!

Congrats to the family! We love you and miss you all every day!

Joe's SURPRISE 36th Birthday Party!

I planned a little surprise night out for Joe's birthday this past weekend! I got most of our neighborhood friends together to celebrate Joe getting OLDER! We ended up eating at Nicks in Laguna and went bar hopping the night away...which ended with lots of dancing, air guitaring and singing! Thanks to all of our friends for coming out to celebrate, I know Joe loved having all of you there!! We seriously moved into the most amazing neighborhood EVER!

Beach Pictures of Taylor!!

Shannon and I spent an afternoon in Laguna with Taylor at the beach. This was Taylor's second time at the beach and she loved it. She wasn't too sure of the sand at first, but she ended up climbing and running all over the beach! I was so glad I brought my camera!

Yep, we went to Vegas AGAIN! We ended up going with Jon and Shannon when Jon was still here. We had SO MUCH FUN! Except for Jon, he wasn't feel too hot, but he was a major trooper and stayed up with us until at least 3am!

We stayed at the Hard Rock, which was awesome! These two stud muffins are our husbands...my, are we the luckiest ladies in the world or what?!?! Seriously, this is how our night started...

Our Taylor Rae...

So, I've been super busy lately with so much going on here in Cali! The past 6 weeks have been consumed by an 18 month old, Taylor Rae (my niece and God daughter) It is amazing how my "simple life" can be so changed by having a little person run through your house, open every drawer in the kitchen, play with nothing but the dog toys, eat all the cheese in your fridge, climb up and down the steps constantly, want outside at all hours of the day/night and point to the computer saying "DA DA" because that is where DA DA is living these days! Phew, I tell ya...this is why you start with a baby and don't just jump into the toddler stage. Please don't take this the wrong way either, I enjoyed every second of it...I just enjoyed 8pm too when the house was quiet and Shannon and I could sit, eat popcorn and enjoy a glass of wine :)

Seriously though, Taylor has been an absolute joy to have here in Cali. We have done so much with her and it has been so fun watching her! For those of you who don't know...Jon (Joe's brother) Shannon and Taylor flew in from Germany for a 2 1/2 week visit with Terri and Monty. Sadly, Terri became sick and she was in the hospital most of the visit, which left Joe's mom unable to spend time with little Taylor. Shannon decided that she would change her flight and stay an extra month so that once Terri was out of the hospital she would be able to spend time with Tay. I wanted to share some of the pictures from our visit together....Enjoy!

Well, Tay didn't have food but the birds thought she did and they pinched her finger....poor Taylor! And because I'm such a good aunt, I made sure to take a picture of her crying!
